Bio
I am an experienced English language educator with over 20 years of practice in international and multilingual school contexts. My career began in India and has included teaching roles in Oman and Qatar, working across Early Years, Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2, and Sixth Form.
At Oryx International School, I contribute to the delivery of EAL provision across the primary phase and support IELTS preparation for Sixth Form students. I work collaboratively with colleagues to support staff development, wellbeing initiatives, and whole-school accreditation processes, ensuring that language support is embedded effectively across the curriculum.
In 2019, I established the Parent EAL Programme to support parents in developing confidence in English communication and to strengthen home–school partnerships. The programme has continued to run annually and contributes to the school’s inclusive, community-focused approach.
Fun fact
Beyond the classroom, I am deeply committed to creativity and lifelong learning. I am passionate about DIY and personally design all my home décor. I am also an avid reader and maintain a home library, which reflects my belief in reflective practice, curiosity, and continuous professional growth.
