I was born in a town called Shrewsbury, in Shropshire. I studied at Manchester Metropolitan University where I gained my degree in Early Years and Childhood Studies. After completing my degree, I worked as a Teaching Assistant and this was the driving force to complete my teacher training. I stayed in Manchester to complete my Primary PGCE with a specialism in Early Years. After living in Manchester for five years, I returned back to my home town where I worked as a supply teacher in a diverse range of schools across Shropshire for one year. I then took the leap to move to Qatar to complete my NQT year. I taught for a year as an FS2 teacher in another British curriculum school before moving to Oryx.
I come from a close family who are spread out across the UK. We enjoy coming together for family events, holidays and birthdays. In my spare time, I enjoy attending exercise classes and going for walks with my friends. I also love travelling and exploring new places in Doha, however more recently I have enjoyed cooking. I am a big foodie and I love to eat out!
My aim at Oryx School is to be a positive role model in the children’s early life and to ensure that they grow and develop into happy and confident individuals during a crucial time in their development.
