I am originally from Ireland and I come from a little town called Portglenone in County Antrim.
I graduated with a BA QTS (Hons) Combined Degree in Sports Studies and Education Studies from Liverpool Hope University in 2013 and worked in a school in Liverpool for three years. I was the class teacher in Year 3 for one year and then moved into Year 4 for two years. I have progressed through the ranks in my school; initially joining the PE team and becoming PE coordinator. The following year I became Science Coordinator of the school and then progressed onto the Middle Management team. I have now been with Oryx International School since 2016 teaching the Year 6 class.
I would describe myself as an outgoing person with a passion for Physical Education and sports. I love to play Gaelic football and play for the Qatar GAA team here in Doha. I swim regularly and I have a keen interest in long-distance running, having recently completed a marathon. My second passion is playing Irish traditional music and enjoy sharing this genre of music with the children of Oryx International. I also enjoy travelling and experiencing different cultures at every opportunity.
