I was born in County Down in the north of Ireland and have lived there most of my life. I studied Sports Engineering at the University of Ulster in Jordanstown. Once I completed my undergraduate degree, I went on to study a PGCE in Primary Education at the University of Cumbria in Carlisle.
Having completed my teacher training in Carlisle, I moved home to Ireland and taught in various schools as a supply teacher, which allowed me to gain experience in multiple year groups before deciding to make the move to Qatar where I worked in another international school as a Year 4 teacher for two years.
I am the youngest of a family of seven and I have two brothers and two sisters. My eldest sister has lived in Australia for the past 10 years, which inspired me to leave home and enjoy all the world has to offer. I enjoy travelling and hope to visit many countries while living in Qatar. I have a great passion for sports, including football, golf and GAA which is the national sport of Ireland. I currently play for the local GAA team in Qatar who play in the Middle Eastern league which allows me to visit neighbouring countries for tournaments.
My aim is to teach fun, engaging and creative lessons which encourage the children to develop a love for learning.
