I graduated from Monash University in Australia with a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education. I have been teaching Primary School for over 10 years, and have taught Early Years prior to that. My first primary teaching position was on the beautiful Phillip Island where I taught Years 1 & 2. I then moved on to years 3 & 4 in regional Victoria. I moved to England in 2019 where I taught a Year 4 class in Westminster, London. It was a remarkable opportunity that further developed my teaching career in many ways, and sparked my desire to work in an international school. My return to Australia gained me the experience of teaching Years 5 & 6 where I was also the Senior Team Leader.
My mother is from Scotland and my father is from Australia. They both live in Australia as does my sister.
My interests include reading, hiking and theatre. My two passions in life are education and travelling and I am forever grateful that teaching is a career in which both can be pursued. I love meeting new people, experiencing new things and learning about different cultures.
My goal at Oryx School is to provide my students with a rich, engaging education that will enable them to reach their full potential to succeed. I believe that every student can be successful in their education and in their lives, and it is my role to instil a love of learning in students and guide and foster them in a supportive environment.
