What I love about teaching: One of my favourite moments in teaching is when you see that lightbulb switch on in a child’s mind—the instant everything clicks and they feel proud of themselves. It never gets old!
I’m originally from the United Kingdom, where I earned my PGCE in Primary Education from the University of Sunderland. After graduating, I began my international teaching journey in Doha, Qatar, before spending a year in Guangzhou, China, where I even taught Secondary PE. I returned to Qatar to join Oryx International School, and I’ve proudly been part of the team for the past seven years.
Currently, I teach Year 6 and have enjoyed working across different year groups during my time here. Outside of school, I love spending quality time with my wife and our young daughter, Milly. When I get the chance, I enjoy playing golf (with very average results!) and going to live music concerts.
