Secondary Design & Technology Teacher

I was born in Durban, South Africa and grew up in a small town on the east coast called Warner Beach. I attended Durban Boys High School and went onto study for a Bachelor's Degree in Education specialising in Sports Science, Technology and Social Sciences from the University of KwaZulu Natal.

I started my career in 2009 at Kingsway High School and spent seven years coaching, managing and teaching in the Sports Department. In 2015, I relocated to Abu Dhabi and spent 2 years working for Abu Dhabi Education Council. In 2018, I returned to Kingsway High School where I taught Technology and Engineering Graphics & Design.

My wife and young daughter will be joining me in Qatar. I am a sporting enthusiast and avid cyclist. I have been fortunate to play high-level cricket as well as represent South Africa in Baseball and Softball. I always enjoy a traditional South African “Braai” barbeque with friends and family.

I am excited about my opportunity in Qatar and working with the dynamic staff at Oryx International School. I am looking forward to growing my teaching skills and ability in a new curriculum setting. I aim to help develop and grow the academic performances as well as develop future thinking students at the school.
