I am from a small town in Alicante called Sax, in the southeast of Spain. I lived in the UK for 12 years and also spent 1 year traveling and working in Oman. I love visiting Spain every year, especially because all my family and friends live there.
I studied English and Linguistics with Teaching at the University of Bedfordshire and completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Education at the University of East Anglia. I have an MA in Education & Research in Languages and Pedagogy from the same university too.
I began my teaching career in Hertfordshire and worked in a Secondary boy’s school for three years. Prior to this, I worked as an educational mentor and teaching assistant in Norfolk, as well as Bedfordshire.
I enjoy keeping fit by attending gym classes regularly and running. I also like dancing Latin dance, travelling and socialising with friends.
I have a passion for second language acquisition and language teaching. I believe that learning a language is not just learning vocabulary and grammar; languages are essential for communicating with the world. I am a firm believer that it is necessary for all cultures to have a better understanding of one another. My aim at Oryx International School is to pass on my knowledge as a language learner to my students and provide them with the best understanding of learning a language.
