Bio
I am a British-qualified primary teacher with a specialism in English and phonics. I gained my Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Central Lancashire, along with my PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status from Edge Hill University. I began my teaching career in the United Kingdom, where I developed strong foundations in delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons for young learners.
Since 2017, I have been teaching internationally in Qatar, working with a diverse range of pupils in both school and private tutoring settings. I joined Oryx International School in 2019 and have held a range of roles during my time here. With almost ten years of teaching experience, I have taken on leadership responsibilities including English Lead and, for the past two years, Year 2 Leader, supporting curriculum development, team collaboration, and high-quality teaching and learning across the year group.
I am particularly passionate about learning through play and creating inclusive, nurturing environments where every child feels confident and supported to reach their full potential.

A fun fact about me is that I love getting lost in a good book — whenever my three children give me the chance!
