Qualifications
I hold a degree in Mathematics from the University of Manchester, a PGCE from Leeds University, and an MSc in Operational Research from the University of Edinburgh. I am currently undertaking the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL), with completion scheduled for September 2026.
Bio
I am the Head of Mathematics, driven by a deep commitment to educational excellence and intellectual curiosity. I bring over seven years of teaching experience gained in the UK, followed by an extensive international teaching career in Qatar since 2014. Throughout my professional journey, I have taught across secondary and post-16 phases and undertaken a breadth of leadership responsibilities, including Head of Year, Head of the FROG Education platform, and Assistant Director of Mathematics. I have also accrued valuable experience operating at senior leadership level, contributing strategically to whole-school development and sustained improvement.
In my role as Head of Mathematics, I am dedicated to fostering rigorous academic standards, cultivating confident and resilient learners, and promoting a culture of aspiration that equips students to thrive beyond the classroom.
Fun fact
Had I not pursued a career in education, I would have channelled my competitive focus into becoming a professional snooker player — mathematics simply claimed the winning break.
