Oryx International School are proud to announce that students have recorded an outstanding set of A level and BTEC results awarded by the UK examining authority, Pearson Edexcel for the 2020/21 academic school year. This is the first cohort of students from Oryx International School who have been presented for external qualifications, which will allow them to progress to University and higher education.

96% of A level entries achieved the overall pass rate. It is a measure of the success and standards achieved at Oryx International School that 46% of grades awarded were at the highest A level award of Grade A.

Several students were awarded a Grade A in every subject, this is an outstanding achievement.

Results in BTEC (Business and Technology Education Council) examinations resulted in a 100% pass rate with 78% of students being awarded the two highest categories of Distinction and Merit.

Head of Secondary, Mr. Kenneth Haggarty, commented that, “This year’s examinations were completed under a strict series of measures applied by Pearson Edexcel to accommodate the Covid-19 pandemic and applied to every school-entering candidate for UK qualifications from across the world.”

Executive Principal, Mr. Derek Laidlaw included that, “These exceptional results are testament to the dedication and hard work of the students and teachers at Oryx International School. I would like to extend my congratulations to the students and thanks to the teachers for their outstanding application to their studies and teaching during such a challenging and demanding year.”
