Catering Provisions per Year Group / Key Stage
Students in Reception and Key Stage 1 (Reception to Year 2) have the option of bringing a healthy packed lunch and snacks from home or ordering a freshly prepared hot meal through our Classroom Catering Delivery Service, provided by Newrest Gulf Catering.
Please note: Oryx International School is a nut-free school. Packed lunches must not contain nuts or products containing nuts (including Nutella) to help ensure a safe environment for all students.

How to Order
Ordering is quick and easy:
- View the weekly menu using the link below.
- Place your order through the Newrest Gulf Catering Portal by 3:00pm on the last working day before delivery.
- Pay in advance at the Newrest Kiosk located in the Main School Reception.
- Your child's meal will be freshly prepared and delivered directly to their classroom.
The Madeleine Happy Meal Box is available for 19 QAR per meal, with a larger portion option available for 22 QAR per meal.
Students from Year 3 to Year 13 may either bring a healthy packed lunch from home or purchase lunch from our on-site canteen, operated by Newrest Gulf Catering.
Our canteen offers a wide selection of freshly prepared hot and cold meals, with a varied menu that rotates regularly to provide balanced and nutritious choices throughout the school year.
Year 3 - Year 6 - For morning break, students should bring a small, healthy snack to enjoy in the classroom.

Using the School Canteen
To purchase food from the canteen, students will need a Newrest Canteen Card.
Getting started is simple:
- Collect a Canteen Card from the Newrest Gulf Catering Kiosk in the Main School Reception.
- Top up the card using cash or card at the kiosk.
- Use the card to purchase meals from the school canteen.
The Newrest Kiosk is open Sunday to Thursday, from 7:00am–9:00am and 1:00pm–3:00pm.
Important Information
- Students cannot pay for meals with cash; all purchases must be made using their Canteen Card.
- If your child loses their card, replacement cards are available for a fee of 20 QAR.
- If a student forgets their lunch or has insufficient funds, an emergency payment system is available, with the cost charged back to parents.
