Model United Nations (OISMUN)
Welcome to Oryx International School Model United Nations (OISMUN), where diplomacy comes to life and students grow into global citizens. Model United Nations is an academic simulation that allows participants to step into the role of diplomats, represent different countries, and debate real-world challenges facing our world today.
Through research, debate, public speaking, negotiation, and teamwork, delegates develop solutions that promote peace, sustainable development, and international cooperation. OISMUN not only prepares students to attend local and international conferences, but also hosts its own annual conference designed and led by students aligned with the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
OISMUN is the school’s flagship Model United Nations conference and provides a dynamic platform to strengthen leadership, critical thinking, and effective communication skills. Through realistic simulations of UN committees, participants analyze global issues, draft resolutions, and practice diplomacy based on respect, dialogue, and cooperation.
