Oryx International School proudly hosted its first TEDx event, a significant milestone for our community and a moment that brought together inspiring voices, meaningful ideas, and authentic perspectives.
The theme of the event focused on the idea of exploring what is "Behind The Reel”. In a world increasingly shaped by social media, where curated images and highlight reels often overshadow genuine experiences, this theme encouraged us to look beyond appearances. The talks addressed the invisible pressures many people experience, the emotional strain behind perfectionism, the quiet battles of self-doubt, and the internal challenges rarely shown publicly yet widely felt. At the same time, the event celebrated self-reflection, honesty, and the courage to express oneself authentically.
A diverse group of contributors, including content creators, educators, alumni, and students from Oryx International School, took to the stage. Through sincere personal accounts based on their life experiences and thought-provoking insights, they offered perspectives that resonated across different ages and backgrounds, enriching the dialogue around purpose, resilience, and the contrast between what we share and what we experience.
