On Wednesday 3rd June, Oryx International School Model United Nations (OISMUN) Club marked a remarkable year of achievement with a special awards ceremony celebrating the dedication, growth, and success of its delegates. The event brought together students, parents, staff, and guests to recognise the outstanding accomplishments of the club throughout the academic year.

One of the highlights of the year was the successful participation of Oryx School delegates at an international Orbital Education MUN conference in Budapest. Students represented the school with distinction, demonstrating exceptional diplomacy, public speaking, negotiation, and critical thinking skills while engaging with peers from around the world.

The greatest milestone of the academic year, however, was the successful hosting of the inaugural OISMUN Conference. The event welcomed delegates from more than ten schools across Qatar, providing a dynamic platform for debate, collaboration, and leadership. The conference was widely praised for its professionalism, organisation, and the high standard of discussion demonstrated by participants.

Parents who attended the awards ceremony expressed their admiration for the achievements of the club and the impressive progress made in such a short period of time. Many were particularly impressed by the confidence, maturity, and leadership displayed by the student delegates, as well as the rapid growth of the MUN programme at Oryx School.

The ceremony also served as an opportunity to honour the dedication of the outgoing Executive Committee members, led by the Secretary Generals Khadija R and Anvi J, whose hard work and vision helped establish the club's success. At the same time, the event welcomed the newly appointed Executive Committee, led by the new secretary Generals Aarna K and Rulan R, who will lead the club into its next chapter. With a strong foundation now in place, the incoming student leaders expressed their enthusiasm for building on this year's achievements and creating even more opportunities for students to engage in meaningful international dialogue.
