I hope this finds you safe and well.
I know there are some people within our school community who are dealing directly with the current coronavirus outbreak and our thoughts are with them. Through Qatar Airways and the school, we are able to offer some level of support to our staff and families so please do reach out to us through the normal channels. Our support and inclusion team are doing a wonderful job keeping in close contact with our students through our VLE platforms and I hope you continue to find the Oryx Occupier both enjoyable and helpful at this time.
I am delighted at the response from students and parents regarding Virtual Teacher Appreciation Week. The variety and warmth of the messages sent has been truly wonderful and our staff greatly appreciate all your sentiments. Thank you.
We are starting to receive some photos and video messages for the PTSA International ‘Day’ project. Please continue to send these and the wonderful recipes to PTSA@oryxschool.qa so we can compile a fitting tribute to our school community Internationalism.

As I highlighted a few weeks ago, we are very fortunate to have the continued services of our Facilities Management Company, New Image, working alongside our own staff. This week they carried out another complete deep clean of the school in addition to regular cleaning, security and technical systems support. My thanks go to them for their excellent service to our school community.
