Students at Oryx International School can secure school uniform from our preferred uniform supplier Noble House Trading. The school uniform encourages a sense of unity and common purpose and provides a sense of belonging.
All items brought into school including clothing, shoes, lunch boxes, water bottles and laptops, etc should be clearly marked with the student’s name. We do have a "No Name - No Claim" rule should your child lose their items, so to ensure their prompt return, please do ensure that all items are labelled. Primary School: Year 1 -6:
As per the Ministry requirements students are to wear swim dress as per instructions below:
Boys from Year 1 to Year 6
- Should wear a swimming costume that must be at least knee length
- There are no specifications regarding the need to cover shoulders
- The option is given to male students to wear a swimming top (all educational levels)
- Burgundy swimming cap with school logo. (not compulsory) available at the Uniform Shop.
Girls - From Year 1 to Year 6
- Should wear a swimming costume that must be at least knee length
- Swimwear should adhere to the Qatari cultural sensitivities including ensuring that the costume has either long or short sleeves – IE shoulders should not be exposed
- Burgundy swimming cap with school logo. (not compulsory)
Please Note:
- When students participate in international sports competitions, they have the option of adhering to the specifications of sports clothing in accordance with the requirements of the competition and the organizing body, provided that the parent /guardian approves that (applicable to all education levels).
- Children who do not comply with the guidelines, will unfortunately not be able to attend school swimming lessons
Secondary School: Year 7-13:

- Children not wearing school PE kit will not be able to participate in PE lessons

- Blue (Saturn), Red (Mars), Yellow (Jupiter), Green (Venus) or Orange (Mercury) t-shirts with house names and school logo (a house will be allocated to your child when they start school)
- Black tracksuit pants or shorts
- Girls - Year 7 – Y13, black leggings must be worn under their shorts
- House shirts can be purchased from the uniform supplier for House Competitions and Activity days
- School Shoes: Plain Black leather school shoes and NOT trainers
- Any type of trainers are acceptable for use during PE Lessons and with the PE or Sport Kit
- Trainers are only to be used for PE lessons or after-school activities
Oryx International School bags from the uniform shop are compulsory and are part of the uniform, please do not bring other bags into school
- EYFS to Year 2 - Infant backpack
- Years 3 to 6 - Classic backpack
- Years 7 to 13 - Active backpack or portfolio bag
- Students may wear one set of stud earrings. Other piercings are forbidden except for cultural reasons and only with the express written permission of the Executive Principal
- Students may wear a watch, but no other jewellery is permitted, e.g. necklaces, rings, bracelets etc
- Hijab colours may include grey, black, white or burgundy
- Hair accessories should pertain to school colours and therefore be grey, black, white or burgundy
- Water bottle (not compulsory)
- Please ensure that all uniform and belongings are clearly and permanently labelled with your child’s name and class
- No other clothing items are allowed to be worn at school
