2017 was an exciting year for Oryx International School, as we broke ground on the development of the new campus in Mesaimeer.
The Mesaimeer site will continue to offer an environment that enables a rich learning experience, providing the nurturing needed to students to become successful learners, ethical individuals, and international citizens. Our new campus, which will open its doors in September 2018, will provide a first-class experience with state-of-the-art facilities exclusively for Qatar Airways employees.
STEM: Our facilities for the academic disciplines of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, will include six quality equipped science laboratories for physics, biology and chemistry, as well as food technology, resistant materials and robotics classrooms.
SPORT: To keep our students active, we will offer outdoor basketball, netball and tennis courts, athletics track and a soccer field; while our indoor facilities will include a six-court sports hall, fully equipped training gym, swimming pool and a teaching pool.
ARTS: The performing arts facilities will include music, dance and drama rooms; audio visual and music recording studios. Fine arts and design classrooms will be equipped to inspire our budding artists. The 500-seat auditorium will host numerous events from school productions to music recitals.
LEISURE: The two-floor canteen will cater for our students’ appetites with healthy meals and drinks, while they relax during breaktime. There will be exciting outdoor exploratory areas in each key stage block to ensure time from the class is spent relaxed yet still within a learning environment.
