The Eco-Warriors of Oryx International School took the lead in celebrating the International Day of Light, observed annually on the 16th of May. This initiative was part of the students' action plan focusing on the theme of 'energy,' devised to raise awareness about the school's daily and monthly energy consumption.
One of the key messages conveyed was the school's use of solar panels on the roof to heat water, highlighting the importance of renewable energy sources. Additionally, students were provided with enlightening facts about the development of light over time, encouraging them to appreciate its significance.
Both Primary and Secondary Eco-Warriors did a commendable job presenting this information to their respective classes. This effort not only raises awareness about energy conservation but also demonstrates the school's commitment to sustainability in education.
