On June 11th, the traditional Summer concert was held in the Oryx Auditorium, featuring outstanding performances by Secondary students. The event included a variety of musical presentations and a drama performance, showcasing the versatility and great creative and musical talents of our students.

The Key Stage 3 Choir gave a joyful and energising performance of "Here Comes the Sun" by George Harrison, highlighting their cohesion and vocal harmonisation. The Year 13 Ensemble presented a sophisticated version of "Qatar Airways Boarding Music" by Dana Al Fardan, demonstrating their ability to capture the cultural essence of the piece.

Sahana H. showed her impressive vocal range and ability to convey complex emotions in "We Can’t Be Friends" by Ariana Grande. Adeline F. delivered a moving performance of "Easy on Me" by Adele, deeply resonating with the audience.

The Drama students presented extracts from "DNA" by Dennis Kelly, showcasing their ability to interpret complex characters with intensity and authenticity. The band Poison Candy gave a fun and energetic performance of "Price Tag" by Jessie J, keeping the audience entertained with their charisma. Acht offered a passionate rendition of "Say it Ain’t So" by Wheezer, highlighting their ability to play alternative rock with authenticity.

Meanwhile, Amanda M. and Sebastian T. delivered a powerful version of "Everlong" by Foo Fighters, showing their synchronisation and musical chemistry. Amanda M. and Natalia P. gave a bold performance of "Celebrity Skin" by Hole, highlighting their stage and musical confidence.

Run Hide Tell captured the nostalgic essence of "Don’t Look Back in Anger" by Oasis with energy and emotional resonance. Chocolate Sunday offered a vibrant double presentation of "All The Small Things" by Blink 182 and "Just A Girl" by No Doubt.

Drive Thru performed "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen with ambition and theatricality, which was pure testament to this complex musical piece.

The Senior School choir gave an inspiring performance of "Man in the Mirror" by G. Ballard and S. Garrett. The event concluded with an emotional rendition of "Sound of Silence" by Paul Simon by all participants, showcasing the unity and collective talent of the students.

Our Vice Principal and Head of Secondary, Mr. Ken Haggarty, dedicated some emotional words to all the students who participated in this concert, bringing tears of joy to the proud parents who applauded throughout the evening.
