On the evening of February 20th, Oryx International School hosted a truly memorable event as we celebrated our Creative Writing Competition.
With the participation of 10 BSME member schools from across Qatar, the competition drew over 1,000 participants, leaving everyone astounded by the talent and imagination of our young writers.
From promoting the competition to sifting through entries and, finally, judging the finalists, it was truly a team effort.
Children and parents alike delved into the theme "A Winter Wonderland in Qatar", unleashing their creativity to transport us to snowy landscapes.
With separate categories for different age groups, from the youngest to the oldest, each participant showcased their skill and passion for writing.
The evening concluded with the awards ceremony, where finalists were rewarded with exciting prizes, ranging from stationery sets to tickets to Kidzania and gift vouchers for Borders.
The gallery of nominated works stood as a testament to the exceptional talent of our students, with each nominee receiving a certificate in recognition of their hard work and dedication.
Hosting this event at our school has been a true honour, and we extend our gratitude to all the parents, teachers, and especially the brilliant young writers who made this competition a resounding success.
