Since 2022, our school community has embarked on an exciting journey to become an increasingly environmentally conscious educational centre. We are delighted therefore to share that in June 2024, we achieved a highly significant milestone: by obtaining the Eco-Schools Green Flag Award.
To celebrate this fantastic achievement, the school held an award ceremony on February 6th led by one of the assessors from Eco-Schools. Our student Eco-Warriors from 2022-23, 2023-24 and the current academic year were invited to attend, as we wanted to recognize that they have each contributed to this success, both past and present generations.
Over time, the students have developed practical projects, fostered environmental education, and promoted sustainable practices, thus creating a culture of leadership by example. Through small changes, we have demonstrated that it is possible to make a significant difference, step by step, in caring for our planet.
We would like to extend special thanks to evaluator Ms. Ruba, who joined us for the ceremony to formally present the award. Her presence and words of encouragement were an additional motivation to keep working with dedication.
Looking ahead, our commitment to sustainability continues. We will strive to improve each day, and, with enthusiasm, we aim to achieve our second Green Flag very soon.
