Susanna Wilson

Assistant Principal

I am originally from Southampton in the United Kingdom. I studied at the University of Southampton, completing my degree in BSc Education. I then went on to complete my PGCE with Canterbury Christ Church University.

My teaching career spans several locations, including England and Abu Dhabi, where I spent six years in various roles. My experience includes positions as a Class Teacher, Head of Year, Phase Leader, and Associate Assistant Principal. These roles have provided me with a deep understanding of exceptional teaching practices. I am incredibly passionate about teacher professional development to ensure all students are receiving the very best education possible.

Outside of school, I enjoy playing netball and training at the gym. I also love to read; I spend a lot of my free time with a good book and won’t leave the house without one! Travel is also a passion of mine, living in the Middle East has opened so many doors to the world and I am so excited to continue exploring all the amazing places I am yet to visit.

At Oryx International School, my goal is to promote a modern and innovative approach to teaching. Engaging and forward-thinking pedagogy is essential for making education exciting and preparing students with the life-long learning skills they need for the future.
