I was born on the stunning island of Jamaica and spent most of my life in the parish of St. Catherine.
I obtained a Diploma in Business Education at Bethlehem Moravian Teachers College and then completed my Bachelor's in Business Education at the University of Technology, Jamaica. I am currently completing a MA degree in International Business, Leadership and Management at the University of York.
I believe belonging to a family with a business-oriented background has propelled my enthusiasm for the study of business and also to make this a field lifelong career path. My teaching career began at Hydel Group of Schools where I spent three years. I held various teaching posts in several other educational institutions in Jamaica before taking up a business and economics at an Academy in the UK where I spent eight years. Following this, I spent two years at a College and then went back to the Academy to take up the position of subject lead for business and economics.
My wife and I will are part of the team at OIS. We have two children aged 8 and 11 years., both attend Oryx school. I love to travel and experience new cultures and ways of life. I find playing a game of chess relaxing and stimulating. I love singing and am very much into various sporting activities including basketball, volleyball. I do love to watch a good Manchester United match.
I endeavour to continue to promote the outstanding quality of education at OIS and to provide an enriching learning environment that fosters creativity, fun learning and more importantly problem-solving skills that will help children to navigate future challenges. I am deeply passionate about business and economics and hope to inspire such enthusiasm in my students.
