Originally from the North East of England, I graduated with a degree in Law from Northumbria University, before completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Primary Education. Oryx is my third Head of Primary post, having previously worked in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong and Thailand. I hold the National Professional Qualification for Headship, which I gained from University College London, and I am also a Council of International Schools’ Accreditor.
It is an honour to lead Primary at Oryx International School: a “Five Star School” which recognises your children’s individual personalities, talents and aspirations, whilst developing Excellence, Responsibility, Integrity, Compassion, Respect, and the confidence to thrive as global citizens in the 21st century. I believe that strong home-school partnerships are essential for student success. With this principle in mind, I look forward to getting to know you all: working together to ensure your children thrive academically, socially and emotionally.I am joined in Doha by my wife and two young daughters. Having lived in South East Asia for 7 years, this is our first adventure to the Middle East. We are all looking forward to immersing ourselves in Oryx’s vibrant school community, whilst experiencing a new culture, new cuisine and vastly different landscape.
Outside of work, I enjoy a variety of sports including football, rugby and skiing, along with exploring new places and foods with my family.
