About the Role

We seek to appoint an experienced, highly motivated and creative Head of Admissions to deliver internal and external marketing and communications initiatives to help promote Oryx International School to families and prospective parents.

As the Customer Experience and Admissions Manager, your key objectives will be to;

  • Develop the school’s marketing, communications and admission strategy (including digital), ensuring that the school’s ethos and vision are represented consistently and effectively through high-quality internal and external communications
  • Lead the admissions process ensuring that a whole school culture of customer service is developed.
  • Build effective partnerships with the school’s Principal and leadership team, Qatar Airways marketing and PR teams and the Orbital Education teams at the head office and across the group’s network.


  • Educated to degree level with at least three years of experience in a marketing environment.
  • International School experience is not a requirement, but a sound knowledge and understanding of the sector are essential. Similarly, direct experience with the admissions process within a school is not a requirement, but this will be an advantage.
  • Commercially astute, with the skills to generate opportunities and achieve conversion to meet admissions objectives.
  • An affinity with, and understanding of, Oryx International School’s values and culture, with the ability to promote the school compellingly.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven track record of creating and delivering high-quality marketing materials and communications across various media channels.
  • Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills, paying close attention to detail
  • IT proficient, with experience in MS Word and Excel, social media platforms and preferably online promotion tools and web technology.
  • Experience in creatively using social media platforms and analysing their effectiveness.
  • The ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines accurately and creatively and to prioritise workflow to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Proactive, proven to work autonomously and take responsibility for actions.
  • Strong team player who can develop effective working relationships with colleagues.
  • A willingness to work flexibly - the demands of the post require commitment outside normal office hours, including some evening and weekend work.
  • Committed to the safeguarding and well-being of children and young people.


  • Relevant experience within the Qatar International school’s sector
  • Experience with the admissions process within the Qatar Ministry of Education
  • Experience of managing a team.
  • Experience and knowledge of website design and management.
  • A professional marketing qualification
