Parent Communication and Involvement
At Oryx School, we utilize various methods of communication to keep parents informed and engaged.
For Primary students, parents are given access to an application called Class Dojo. Once your child starts at Oryx, you will receive a link to join the platform and be added to your child’s class group. Teachers regularly post updates on classroom activities, and parents have the convenience of directly messaging the teacher with any questions or concerns.
For Secondary students, communication channels differ as students have multiple teachers for different subjects. In this case, all academic-related communication is directed to the Key Stage Lead, who will then coordinate with the relevant subject teacher to address any questions or concerns.
Email and phone are the primary communication methods used for parents of secondary students. We are committed to maintaining open and effective communication to ensure your child’s success.
To update your contact information, please send an email to Reception, reception@oryxschool.qa and they will process your request.
You can join the Parent Staff Association and become a parent volunteer to come and help the school with different events and activities. If you would like to get involved, please email: psa@oryxschool.qa
We encourage parents to schedule appointments in advance if they wish to meet with a teacher.
For Primary students, parents can message the teacher on Class dojo and arrange an appointment to meet with the teacher.
For Secondary parents, to arrange a meeting, please email Reception with your request, and they will forward it to the Head of Year. The teacher will then coordinate and confirm the appointment at a mutually convenient time.
This process helps ensure that meetings are arranged efficiently and that teachers can give you their full attention during the scheduled time.
