We are honoured to share the results of the annual School Report Card (SRC) for the 2023-2024 academic year, issued by Qatar's School Evaluation Administration. This report is undertaken by the Ministry of Education and comprehensively evaluates the performance of private and international schools in Qatar, and it highlights Oryx International School as a leading institution across multiple key areas.

What is the School Report Card (SRC)?

The SRC is an evaluation tool that measures various key performance indicators, including teaching quality, school community satisfaction, the implementation of modern educational practices, and the school environment. Each school’s results are compared to the average performance of similar institutions, providing a clear picture of strengths and areas for improvement.

    • 92% of parents expressed satisfaction with the education provided, compared to the national average of 80%. This indicator reflects our commitment to academic excellence and the holistic development of our students.
  • Professionalism of teaching staff:
    • Our teachers were recognised for their professionalism, scoring 88%, significantly above the 71% average.
  • Modern and effective teaching methods:
    • 83% of teachers use innovative practices in the classroom, surpassing the 70% average of other institutions.
  • Support for talented students:
    • An outstanding 79% in identifying and supporting students with special talents, setting a benchmark for fostering personal development compared to the 65% average.
  • Safe and respectful school environment:
    • 96% of parents and students praised the school’s environment, compared to the 82% average.
  • Promotion of national and Islamic values:
    • At 100%, our school continues to reinforce the proportion of teachers using activities and programmes to reinforce Islamic values compared to the 99% average.
  • The quality of the curriculum applied in the school: Our School achieved a 100% satisfaction rate for curriculum quality, far exceeding the national average of 89%. This highlights the school’s commitment to providing a well-rounded, modern curriculum that fosters academic excellence and equips students with essential skills for global success.

Academic Performance in International Assessments

Student performance in international assessments like PISA is another indicator of Oryx International School’s academic success. Our results significantly exceeded national averages in Reading, Mathematics and Science, positioning us as one of Qatar’s leading institutions:

  • Reading:
    Oryx achieved an average score of 551, well above the national average of 419.
  • Mathematics:
    The average score was 530, again surpassing the national standard of 414.
  • Science:
    With 540, our students demonstrated outstanding proficiency compared to the national average of 432.
