Hamad International Airport (HIA), in cooperation with Qatar Airways, organized a tour for students from Oryx International School that showcased the Airport’s award winning facilities and services.
The tour exposed a group of primary students to the comprehensive travel experience at Hamad International Airport, initiating from the departures terminal to on flight boarding. During the tour, HIA staff introduced a simplified idea of the Smart Airport program and the collection of art pieces displayed across the airport and the Marketing and Hospitality Services.
Escorted by the cartoon characters inspired by Qatari culture “Joud & Soud”, the students were presented with information about additional airport services, including the Unaccompanied Minors Lounge that offers family friendly facilities and the playground area.
One of the aspects of the tour included a visit to Qatar Airways’ Boeing 777 state of the art aircraft. Through which the national carrier presented the aircraft’s exquisite features, including the Business and Economy class cabins as well as the inflight entertainment programs especially offered to young travelers.
The students were given the opportunity to get onboard the passenger’s train that connects the South and the North terminals. The tour concluded with a special lunch and gifts offered by Qatar Duty Free.
