PTSA organised school tours - The PTSA committee have kindly offered to conduct school tours for any of our existing parents who would still like to be shown around the school premises. These tours will be conducted on allocated days by appointment only at 2pm, with the exception of Monday’s, until the end of March 2019. If you would like to make an appointment for a tour please contact our PTSA Chairperson, Harjeet, on jayk78@yahoo.com.

International Day will take place on Wednesday 3rd of April throughout the school day for both Primary and Secondary students. We would like to invite any parents who would be interested in helping to prepare a table presenting their country featuring information, food specialities, traditional costumes, dance, music, artefacts etc to contact their Class Rep in the first instance. We will then collate all parent volunteers from the same country into teams to work together with the PTSA to provide a cultural trip around the world for our students to learn more about the many different nationalities we have in school. There will be a meeting in the lecture theatre on Wednesday 6th of March at 7:45 for all parents interested to meet with the PTSA committee to plan the event.

Charity Work - I am delighted to inform you that following the success of our Winter Fair we managed to raise QR1000 for each of our chosen charities, Barking Q and Doha Stitches. Both organisations are delighted to have our help and very grateful to receive our donations. Ladies from our PTSA Committee had the pleasure of meeting Ronel from Doha Stitches this week to purchase fabric from which the charity make hand made toys for sick children in hospital in Doha. Please see the photographs below. BarkingQ have asked if we can use their donation to provide a flight to a forever home for one of their dogs to a safe and loving home oversees. We are currently in the process of making the arrangements for this and will keep you updated on our progress. It is a lovely feeling to know we have been able to make a difference to two of our local charities and look forward to contributing to other charities in need in the months ahead.

BISQ Games - Any parents who have children taking part in the Year 5 & 6 BISQ games on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 March who would be able to offer their assistance to help serve at our PTSA table, which will be set up at the event to sell refreshments for the children participating in the event, please contact Samantha on samanthajanegallagher@hotmail.com who will provide you with more details.
