WINTER FAIR SATURDAY 15th DECEMBER 2018 FROM 10.00 – 14.00

The countdown is now on for our first big event on our new campus, our Winter Fair. Please put the date in your diary and join us to celebrate Qatar National Day and all the fun of the fair. With less than three weeks until the big day it is time for the PTSA to ask for everyone’s help and support to make this family fun day a huge success.

Our PTSA committee, Class Reps and parents are all working tirelessly to put everything in place to provide as much fun and entertainment as we can for our families, friends and local community. Our doors will be open for everyone to come along and enjoy the day.

We already have over 60 stalls in our street market offering hand crafted gifts, jewelry, cosmetics, ceramics, clothes and much more. There will be a bouncy castle for our younger students, assault courses, sports activities for all and we have companies coming in to do displays in Rhythmic Gymnastics and Zumba and an activity from Kindermusik.

Our school students will provide musical performances, Years 1 and 2 will perform pieces from their dance club, Year 7 a fashion show, and senior students a drama show.

We will have food stalls serving a great variety of international cuisine and home baking, fun activity stands for all to get involved with and even a soak the teacher area for those brave enough!!!!

We will be joined by three of our local charities, Doha Stitches, PAWS and BarkingQ who we hope to support on the day through our Silent Auction.

So how can parents help? We now need lots of donations for prizes for our many activities to ensure every child wins a prize. I have set up collection points at the Main Reception, the Primary Entrance and the Secondary Entrance for parents and children to drop off any donations from the list below:

General stall prizes: similar to items you would put inside children’s party bags

Large bags of sweets and lollipops Small stationery items such as rulers, pencils, colouring pens, note pads, etc. Small toys, games, cards, etc.

Bouncy balls, balloons, etc.

Tombola: This is the stall where adults and children can try their luck to win exciting prizes with lucky tickets drawn from a concealed container. These prizes can be any new item from any price range to cover all our age ranges from 3 – 16 and adults too.

Cuddly toys, Jigsaws, games, toys, beach balls, pool inflatables, water bottles, accessories, jewelry, perfume, pens, pencil cases, toiletries, boxes of chocolates, biscuits, sweets, bottles of juice, speciality foods, kitchen wear, home wear, decorations, ornaments, fun items, etc…etc. Basically, anything you think would be nice to win as a prize.

Silent Auction: This is where the adults have the opportunity to place their bids for luxury items donated by local companies, businesses and parents.

These donations need to be more substantial items to attract people to bid for them. Items such as vouchers for dinner for two, a spa day, cinema tickets, hotel overnight stay, flights, concert tickets, gift sets, luggage, luxury items of any kind, free entry to events, discount coupons, cosmetics, etc. Anything anyone can offer will be gratefully received. As a thank you for these donations we will add your name to our list of sponsors within our Winter Fair programme which will be given to everyone who comes to our Fair. All money raised at this stall will be divided between our three charities who we are supporting on the day, Doha Stitches, PAWS and BarkingQ to help support all the amazing work they do in our local community.

And finally and most importantly please come along and join us with your family and friends to enjoy a fun day out for all. We are looking forward to seeing you all there.
