Our students spent the past week in school preparing to celebrate Qatar National Day. They were set a task to create something showing what Qatar means to them, what the best places are to go to and what they enjoy doing on the weekends. They produced incredible works of art putting together the best of everything that Qatar has to offer.

On Wednesday, 6 December the school held their assembly celebrating Qatar. The students explained Qatari culture, showed a short film by our roving school camera (the video is below), demonstrated the wedding dance, held a quiz show and finally announced the Qatar National Day project winners for each year group. Everyone was very entertained.

On Thursday, 7 December we held our annual Qatar National Day celebrations, where the students dressed up in Qatar National outfits, met a real Falcon...close up….rode on a camel, learned traditional dances, ate Arabic food, had henna tattoos and enjoyed everything that Qatar has to offer us. It was a very enjoyable day and we would like to thank everyone involved in assisting with the day, especially our parents who are always willing to lend a helping hand.
